About Peregrine Poise

Three founding principles of Peregrine Poise:

“All suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their own happiness or satisfaction.”
-Dalai Lama

“So in everything, do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”
-The Holy Bible (Matthew 7:12)

“The aim of the evolutionary impulse is to make man aware of himself, and with this sublime awareness, to make him regulate his life as a rational human being, free from egotism, violence, excessive greed and ambition and immoderate lust and desire, to lead to a state of unbroken peace and happiness on the Earth. . .
Enlightenment, therefore, is a natural process ruled by biological laws as strict in their operation as the laws governing the continuance of the race . . .
This is the purpose for which you and I are here- to realize ourselves. . . to bring the soul to a clear realization of its own divine nature.”
-John White

Peregrine Poise is about discovering balance and harmony in the unpredictability of life.

It’s about focusing on what can be done, instead of what can’t. It’s about becoming better- just a little bit each day. It’s about progress. Most importantly, it’s about being responsible and changing the one area in life that matters most- you.

Peregrine Poise features frequent articles on: the mind & body, the art of self-education, living in the present moment, freedom, sustainability, optimism, nutrition & fitness, adaptability, creating a meaningful life, and well-being.

From time to time, I may be inspired to share some of my ideas, favorite music, or personal travel perspectives with you. I try and keep it balanced. Anyways, you know what they say about variety.

I encourage others to find their inner explorer, to dive inside their minds, and search for their artist within. Peregrine Poise aims to help you with this amazing self-discovery of creativity, expression, and realization.

Hobbies? Well, I read too much, write too little, & I still cannot spell to save my life. I’m one of the most inflexible people you will ever meet, but I’m working on it okay!

I don’t have enough time for all my hobbies, but a few that I try and enjoy include: surfing, eating well, living in famous cities around the world, touring microbreweries and sampling each and every tap, and constantly questioning and exploring what people define as truth. This goes from reading conservative religious texts to popular beliefs.

Everything must be tested, trialed, and questioned.

I believe that within every person there is an enormous wellspring of untapped potential waiting to be released. Peregrine Poise drills into the hearts, minds, bodies, and souls of its readers attempting to explode the fountainhead of power within them.

Imagine unleashing the opposite of Pandora’s box inside yourself.

Wouldn’t that be amazing?

I hope you’ll join me in this amazing on-going adventure.
